@Tayler and @Tina – many of the honky tonk bars on Broadway are shutdown until at least August 16, 2020. Many restaurants and bars are still open, but any establishments serving alcohol have to close by 10pm.
Girls weekend over Labor Day weekend. Are restaurants and bars limiting time of how long you can sit at a table. They are doing this in California. Will there be any live music?
@Heather – we haven’t heard of restaurants limiting time at tables yet. Live music is allowed, but a barrier has to be between performers and audience.
We are suppose to come down 8-27 to 8-30..Should we cancel or do u think things will be open by then?

Whats it look like for mid October, will there be live music? Are people wearing masks in the bars?
Greg, it’s hard to know what everything will look like in mid October, but statistics seem to be improving in Nashville. Currently, live music is allowed, and masks are required everywhere when not seated at a table.
Reservations downtown weekend Oct 23-25th. Most bars open dowtown?
Most bars and restaurants are now open in Nashville.
Will be there October 10th, will all bars be closing at 10 or 10:30?
Bars are now allowed to be open until 11pm.
Hi Nashville Guru! Is there an estimated date when they will open back up the dance floors?
Dale – there is no estimated date for reopening dance floors. Phase 4 (estimated earliest date is October 28, 2020) still mentions social distancing requirements, so it’s hard to know at this point what the city requirements will be.
Is it table seating only or outdoors can you sit at the bar itself?
Limited reserved bar seating is available with distancing in place.
With phase three happening will bars on Broadway be open later than 11pm and what is the capacity? Specifically asking for Friday October 3rd.
Larry, the 11pm curfew will still be in place, likely through the entire month of October. Phase 3 doesn’t change much for restaurants and bars. Capacity is stated as “at the lesser of 50% capacity or 100 patrons per floor and 100 patrons outdoors, provided proper social distancing.” Full details here.
Since the governor is reopening th state will all the bars be reopen and no more masks?
Angela, Davidson County (where Nashville is located) is not included. Masks are required and bars are only partially open. See more details about the governor’s orders.
Hi Nashville Guru! Earlier when I asked about dancing I wasn’t referring to the moshpit 300 people scenes of the Kid Rock variety, I was thinking more of the two couples doing the two step on the dance floor. Doesn’t that seem safe enough? And wear a mask? Could that slip into phase three? 😎
Dale, it seems to be a blanket rule for “dance floors.” It’s probably more related to the difficulty keeping people separate from other dancers on the floor instead of the person you’re dancing with. It’s also to keep the stage performers separate from the guests. We don’t make the rules, just relay them! Hope this helps a little!
Any place you recommend watching Sunday football?
We will be coming to Nashville Oct 29th -31st staying up by the Opry Land convention center will the shuttles be running to pick up people from the hotels up there to take them downtown
Considering a weekend trip to Nashville weekend of November 20. To this point during phase 3 have the bars and restaurants been at capacity most weekends. I know there is no guarantee, but just wondering the pattern thus far.
Live 7 1/2 hours away from Nashville and like to come to the Broadway Honky Tonks, listen to the music and specifically dance to the music. And would like to come 10/21 to 10/25. What are the restrictions? Thanks for your help.
Are there any bars in the suburbs outside of the county limits that are open later and have live music?
Are downtown bars still closing at the 11pm? Any updates appreciated!
Haley, yes, all bars and restaurants serving alcohol must close by 11pm. No updates have been made to the curfew yet.
Any bars any where in Nashville Tennessee or out of Nashville that is open late?
Hey Thomas, we currently aren’t monitoring the mandates of other counties and cities.

Can you please tell me what the Covid Rules are ? Will there be any live music ?
Tanya, you can see the latest restrictions here. In brief, masks are mandated, bars and restaurants serving alcohol must close by 11pm, and dance floors are closed. Live music is allowed and the majority of establishments are open.
My son is graduating from College actually today. I promised him a weekend in Nashville bar hopping. Bars still closing at 11 I guess and that’s fine. I am more concerned with the music. Are all the bands returning and can you still go from door to door and hear fantastic music? I would be disappointed if I get there and half the bars don’t have any music playing.
Rod, most of the bars still have live music! The curfew is now last entry and last call at 10:00pm.
